APS Properties approached Heronswood Design following an un-satisfactory attempt at a design scheme by another architect.

The brief for the project was to achieve an extra 20 bedrooms of Student Accommodation on an adjacent site by extending and linking through to the existing 19 bedroom development built in the early 2000’s. Due to the sensitive location of the proposals, Heronswood Design entered into extensive pre application negotiations and discussions with city of Lincoln Council planning department.

Following on from this process an informed design solution was produced for the planners to consider prior to formal submission. This led to various modifications to the proposals during the pre application process and demonstrates the value of good working relationships with Local Authority planning departments. Heronswood Design & APS Properties worked in conjunction with the Planning Consultancy department of J H Walter in the production of this major application and the project has now just been formally submitted to City of Lincoln Council.

We are looking forward to helping this project through the Planning Application process and hopefully working towards delivering this project for the client for a construction programme during the next few months.
